Shadow & Light Gemstone Mala

Grief doesn't move in a straight line — some days are heavier, some days surprise you with a flash of something lighter. This mala holds both of those at once.

Grey Agate makes up most of the strand, soft and misty, often associated with emotional steadiness during periods of change. Black Onyx adds darker, denser notes — grounding, a little protective. And running through both, Labradorite flashes blue and gold when the light catches it, completely unpredictable, which is rather the point. The faceted Labradorite guru bead is the brightest example of that flash — easy to miss until suddenly you can't stop seeing it.

It finishes with a flowing grey tassel, like fog lifting.

This is a mala for grief and for healing — for the complicated, non-linear parts of it, and for anyone who'd rather wear something that reflects how they actually feel than something that pretends it's simple. Made from 108 beads in 8mm and 6mm sizes, finished with a faceted Labradorite guru bead and a grey tassel, hanging to approximately 60cm. Handknotted by me here in the Algarve, one knot at a time.
