My Anchor Mala with Rudraksha and Smokey Quartz Beads

Some days feel like being out at sea — moving, but not sure in which direction, or how far from shore. This mala is for those days. An anchor, not to stop you, but to give you something to hold onto.

Smokey Quartz forms the steady base — a brownish-grey stone long associated with grounding and with absorbing stress, the kind that helps when everything feels like a bit much. Two larger oval Smokey Quartz beads sit further along the strand, slightly heavier, like checkpoints. Rudraksha seeds run alongside them — the same beads used in mala-making for centuries, adding their own texture and weight.

It finishes with a larger faceted guru bead and a long, dusty pink tassel — a soft note of warmth against all that brown.

Made from 108 beads of 8mm, with two oval Smokey Quartz beads of 10x8mm and a faceted guru bead of 14mm, finished with a long dusty pink tassel. Handknotted by me, one knot at a time.
