Clear Quartz is about as simple as gemstones get — clean, versatile, and easy to love, which makes it a good first stone for a child's first piece of real jewellery.

The beads are mostly 8mm Clear Quartz, with two 6mm beads worked in for a little variation. Clear Quartz is sometimes called the "master" stone — calm, adaptable, the kind of thing that goes with everything.

It finishes with a silver-wrapped Sun pendant, about 2.5cm across, and a white tassel — bright and cheerful without being over the top.

This is a good everyday mala for a child who likes things simple and a little bit shiny. You'll find it filed under Clarity & Focus here.

Made from 62 beads of 8mm and 2 beads of 6mm, with a silver-wrapped Sun pendant of approximately 2.5cm, hanging to approximately 39cm including the tassel. Handknotted by me, one knot at a time.
