Black Obsidian Gemstone Mala with Onyx and Labradorite

This one is all dark stones with a bit of sparkle — faceted beads that catch the light differently than our usual smooth, round ones.

Black Onyx makes up most of the strand, faceted so it has a bit more presence than a plain round bead — often associated with focus and with a quiet kind of resilience. Labradorite runs through it too, flashing blue-grey unpredictably whenever the light catches it.

At the centre, a silver pendant set with Black Obsidian as the guru bead — a volcanic glass long associated with grounding, and with seeing things clearly, including the parts of yourself you'd rather not look at.

Made from 108 faceted beads of 6mm, finished with a silver pendant set with a Black Obsidian guru bead. Handknotted by me, one knot at a time.
